ACTIVITY 1: Science Journal

Creating a science journal is a great way to kick off a Maker unit. It is an easy activity for young people new to Making, and also allows a great deal of personalization. Students can use their journals throughout the Making program, recording their questions, designs, and stories of what they build.  Recording their ideas and activities in the journals underscores the importance of process over product in Making.
