NASA has developed a unique STEM challenge based upon real mission data and experiences that occur during human and robotic exploration of the solar system.

  • The challenge is designed for grades 2-3.
  • Educators will attend NASA Professional Development training for challenges.
  • Students may participate in live connections with NASA scientists and engineers to support the development of their designs.
  • Students will create a brief video showcasing their response to the challenge and submit the video for review.
  • Department of Education Leadership and NASA scientists and engineers will select student submission videos to highlight in a virtual culminating event.
