On Your Own | Day 2: Blended Learning Activity Design
Give us your ideas for this blended learning center based on the program SMART goal, student-level need, and student voice.
Program SMART Goal: By the end of May 2021, 40% of 4th grade students who are below grade level in reading will increase their reading score by at least 20% as measured by Dibels, MAP, or other approved assessment.
4th grade Student-Level Need: Reading fluency
Student Voice: Working in groups, hands-on

Student Voice: Working in groups, hands-on
Activity: Blended Learning Stations
Whole Group: Host Parent Volunteer Reading Days in which parents come into the classroom and read to the class to model fluent reading
Technology Station: Provide a reading corner in which students can access their Epic books accounts.
Hands-On Station: Provide access to the prepared manipulatives that were taught in the instructor station for children to access during work cycle - Word Study Activity, Grammar Boxes, and Logical Sentence Analysis Activity
Instructor Station: Invite students to join in a small group based and provide a specific lesson on the manipulatives that will be available during work cycle.

Whole Group: Have various notable Community Volunteers (Police Chief, Mayor, Bank President, Fire Chief, etc) read to the class as a group to promote reading growth.
Technology Station: Provide access to reading fluency games on available tech.
Hands-On Station: Provide materials related to the day’s instruction that will help improve word recognition. (matching games, word puzzles, etc)
Instructor Station: provide instructor led activity with smaller groups of students that ties all activities together.
