Welcome to the Supporting High School Students Discussion Board!  We are so excited to connect with you around this important topic over the next few days (Aug 18-20, 2015).

Guest speaker bios:
Eric Billiet, Expanded Learning Education Specialist at the Minnesota Department of Education, administers the state’s 21st Century Community Learning Centers program and provides technical assistance to grantees and to Ignite Afterschool, Minnesota’s after school network.

Sarah Brightwell, Director of Community Services and Grants for Bastrop Independent School District (Texas), develops and oversees programming for four high schools (including a non-traditional and an early college high school).

Melanie Spencer, Program Director for the Gateway to the Future Academy at Riverside High School (Yonkers, New York), has spent six years working with high school youth in this community-based program.
