Inquiry is at the heart of STEM. Give an example of a time you effectively used questioning to get students to explore or think deeply. (For example, “We did an activity where I asked my upper elementary students to predict which objects would sink or float in water. Then I asked them “Why?” They came up with different ideas that we tried to test through experiments. They ruled out some of their ideas and built upon others, moving toward the concepts of density, shape, and displacement.”) Or, think of some future activities that you are planning that will help students think critically through questioning.
