2016 - Phoenix, Arizona

The 2016 Summer Institute was held from July 19-21, 2016 in Phoenix Arizona. This year’s conference—21st CCLC: Reaching New Heights—provided 21st CCLC grantees, State Coordinators, technical assistance providers, and other afterschool professionals with new knowledge and insights for how to develop, implement, and sustain successful, meaningful 21st CCLC programs. Attendees had the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of interactive breakout sessions with innovative new ideas for activities; technical assistance opportunities for managing programs; and data use strategies to take back to their programs.

Additionally, the plenary sessions provided updates on the state of the national 21st CCLC program as well as information on expanding learning beyond the classroom, professionalizing the field for 21st CCLC staff, and Using Data Effectively to Demonstrate 21st CCLC Alignment to the School Day.
